Advertisement for Junior Project Fellow (JPF) Position (01 post) under JKST&IC funded Project
Applications are invited for the post of 01 JPF in JKST&IC, Govt. of J&K, funded project entitled “Sinkhole Susceptibility Mapping of Breng Valley with Karst Topography” under the Principal Investigator, Prof. SK Bukhari (PI) and Co-PI, Dr. Majid Hussain.
Qualification:
B.Tech/B.E (Civil Engineering)/M.Sc (Geology, Geophysics).
Project-related experience will be desirable.
Candidates with MTech (Geotechnical Engineering) shall be given preference
Nature & Period of Post:
Appointment as JPF initially for one year with a possibility of extension for a second year. The Extension is subject to satisfactory performance and release of the grant.
Job Description:
Project execution includes fieldwork, a literature review, manuscript writing, day-to-day project documentation, and management.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the project’s requirements. Mere qualification of eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The interview mode, date, time and venue will be intimated to short-listed candidates only.
The decision of the Director NIT Srinagar will be final in all respects.
Terms and conditions:
The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project and for the availability of funds. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
