Subject:- Commencement of process of Selection for the Posts of Driver (Non-Gazetted), District Cadre, in District Samba.
Reference: Letter No. 754/Psy-621 dated 18.08.2022 of Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
offline Applications, on the prescribed format (Annexure A), are invited from the eligible candidates belonging to District Samba for participating in the selection process for
filling of 02 (Two) Posts of Driver in the Pay Scale of Rs. 19900-63200 Level-2 and other allowances admissible by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The candidates applying for the aforesaid posts of Driver should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
that the candidates should belong to district Samba only.
i) that the candidates should possess the domiciles of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in terms of s.o. 166 dated 18.05.2022 issued by General Administration
Department, Govemment of Jammu and Kashmir and those, who are residents of District Samba for a period of not less than 15 years before the date of applyin9
and are actually residing in the area.
ii) that the age of candidates as on 01.01.2023 should be:
a) not below 18 years b) not above 40 years in case of General Category c) 43 years in case of SC/ST/RBA/ALCIOSC/OBC d) 48 years in case of ex-servicemen
e) 40 years in case of candidates in Government Service/contractual employees, etc.
iv) that the candidates must possess minimum qualification i.e, Matric/10th pass from a recognized School Board of Education and possess valid driving licence with
LMV/HMV endorsement.
v)that the candidates should have deposited fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 300/- through Demand Draft from J&K Bank Ltd. in the name of Principal District & Sessions
Judge, Samba.
vi) that the candidates, who are already engaged on adhoc or daily wage wages in the Subordinate Courts, shall be eligible to apply irespective of the minimum and
maximum standards of age, and they shall deemed to be given relaxation in the minimum and maximum standards of age.

NOTE:
a) Candidates shal submit the printout of the Application Form (Annexure AJ/fee payment receipt in the office of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Samba, w.e.f
08.03.2023.
If a candidate(s) is/are found to be failing to meet any conditions mentioned in the eligibility criteria, then his/her/their application form(s) will be rejected.
Please note that the above procedure Is the only valid procedure for applying and in no other mode, the Application Form will be accepted and even offine incom-|
plete Application Form (Annexure A) will not be accepted.
The printout of the Application Form (Annexure A) alongwith the fee payment draft and required copies of documents shall be annexed with the application form.
Submission of Application Form (Annexure A) and payment of fee shall not be entertained after the cut-off date fixed for receipt of the same.
Before applying offline, candidates are advised to carefully go through the guidelines for offline submission of Applications from the District Court’s official Website

Individual call letters shall not be issued, however, wide publicity shall be given through print, electronic media and the District Court official Website
https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/samba about the venue(s), dates of written tes/skill test (driving test), for the information of eligible candidates. No claim of bein9
unaware of the dates/schedule for written tes/skill test (driving test) shall be entertained.
h) The in-service candidates/contractual employees shall submit the photocopy of the duly filled up offline Application Form thrOugh proper channel viz. the concerned
Head of the Department. In the event of failure of the candidate to route the application through proper channel, his/her eligibility shall be assessed as if he/she is not
an in-service candidate. The Head of Department concerned shall forward the Application Form of the in-service candidate at the address of the Principal District &&
Sessions Judge, samba, within the above referred time of period after filling their Application Forms.
The last date for the submission of offline Application Forms, as prescribed above, shall be the cut-off date for determining the eligibility to apply for the post. The age
limit, however, is determinable with reference to the 1st of January 2023. Any qualification/experience acquired after the last date of receipt/submission of the
Application Form i.e. 24.03.2023 shall not be taken into account for any purpose.
No TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test/skill test (driving test)
PROCESS OF SELECTiON
There shall be written test and skill test (driving test) and the following criteria are laid down for conducting the test for determining the knowiedge and level of driving skill.

Written Test to determine the General Knowledge and Knowledge of Traffic Rules and Regulations
Based on merit obtained in the Written Test, the candidates shall be called for determining the driving skills in the ratio of 1:5. Driving skills shall be con
ducted with the help of an expert from the Traffic Department, who shall be co-opted as a Member of the Selection Committee.
Cumulative grade of the marks obtained in the Written Test and the Driving Test shall form the final merit
