College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi invites applications for recruitment for the post of Junior Resident (Non-PG) MBBS & BDS on regular basis in various departments of this hospital as per break up of vacancies given below:

12 posts of Junior Resident are horizontally reserved for PwBD as per DOPT rules.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Duration of Residency: One year (01.01.2026 to 31.12.2026) in two subjects — six months each.
Pay Scale: Rs. 56100/- in Pay Level-10 (7th CPC) + NPA + other allowances.

Qualification for Junior Resident (Non-PG) MBBS

MBBS Degree from a Recognized University & DMC registration
Internship completion: on or after 01.01.2024
FMGE Certificate for FMGs
DMC registration mandatory (receipt acceptable; original required before joining)

Qualification for Junior Resident (Non-PG) BDS

BDS Degree from a Recognized University
Permanent registration from Delhi Dental Council / State Dental Council
Internship completion: on or after 01.01.2024

Mode of Selection

i) Screening Test (MCQ-based, 1 hour, 60 marks)
ii) +1 for correct answer, –1/3 for wrong
iii) No negative marking for unattempted
iv) Merit-based shortlisting (3× vacancies)

The Safdarjung Hospital and V.M.M. College (VMMC), New Delhi, has announced a major recruitment drive for 266 Junior Resident (Non-PG) posts in both MBBS and BDS categories. This is an excellent opportunity for medical and dental graduates seeking a one-year residency starting January 1, 2026.

The posts offer a competitive salary under the 7th CPC Pay Level-10 (Rs. 56100/- plus allowances). Applicants must hold an MBBS/BDS degree and must have completed their internship on or after January 1, 2024. FMGs must possess an FMGE certificate.

A one-hour MCQ-based screening test with negative marking (1/3 per wrong answer) is scheduled for December 14, 2025 in Delhi/New Delhi.
