CALL FOR RESEARCH SCHOLAR
Position: JRF or Project Associate -1 No.

Project: Deep Ocean Mission project entitled “The unknown and the unexplored deep-sea anaerobic microbiota: A culturable, metagenomic and eDNA approach”.
Funding Agency: Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India
Principal Investigator: Dr. T. Subba Rao, Professor, School of Technology, Sai University, Chennai
Emoluments and Duration

Salary: JRF/Project Associate (Rs. 37,000 + HRA) +HRA)
Duration: Initially for two years, extendable upon satisfactory performance.
Qualification Criteria
Educational Requirement: Post Graduate (PG) degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology or relevant disciplines.
Examination Requirement: Candidates should be qualified with CSIR-UGC NET (including LS) or GATE examination.
Experience: Experience in Microbiology and Molecular Biology techniques; and in metabolomics related work is desirable.
Interview Requirements: Candidates must bring copies of CV, certificates,
and all original certificates/testimonials for verification. Apart from PG subject’s candidates should prepare on microbial genomics.
Additional Note: Candidates not qualified with NET/GATE will be interviewed for the Project Associate position and can also register for a Ph.D. at Sai University.
