University of Jammu Department of Law Guest Faculty Advocate Recruitment 2026 | DIP-J-2149-P

The Department of Law, University of Jammu (NAAC Accredited ‘A++’ Grade University) invites applications on plain paper from eligible candidates for the engagement of 2 (two) positions of Guest Faculty (Advocate), purely on a temporary basis, for the Academic Session 2026-27. Eligible candidates must possess a degree of LL.B with at least 10 years of active practice as an Advocate and/or an Advocate with an LL.B degree and at least 10 years of practice as an ‘Income Tax Practitioner’. The engagement is temporary and does not confer any right to regularisation.

जम्मू विश्वविद्यालय का विधि विभाग (NAAC ‘A++’ ग्रेड विश्वविद्यालय) शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के लिए पूर्णतः अस्थायी आधार पर 2 (दो) अतिथि संकाय (वकील) पदों के लिए पात्र उम्मीदवारों से सादे कागज पर आवेदन आमंत्रित करता है। पात्र उम्मीदवारों के पास LL.B की डिग्री होनी चाहिए और कम से कम 10 वर्षों का सक्रिय अधिवक्ता अभ्यास और/या LL.B डिग्री के साथ ‘आयकर व्यवसायी’ के रूप में 10 वर्षों का अभ्यास होना चाहिए। यह नियुक्ति अस्थायी है और नियमितीकरण का कोई अधिकार नहीं देती है।

• Degree of LL.B from a recognised university.
• At least 10 years of active practice as an Advocate, OR
• LL.B degree with at least 10 years of practice as an ‘Income Tax Practitioner’.

⚖️ Terms & Conditions

• The engagement of Guest Faculty is purely temporary for Academic Session 2026-27 and does not confer any right to continuation, regularisation, or permanent absorption.
• Selected Guest Faculty shall undertake teaching and other associated duties as assigned by the Faculty/University, subject to availability of workload.
• Eligible candidates must appear in person before the Selection Committee for interview/interaction on 14th Sept, 2026 along with original certificates for verification. No separate call letters will be issued.
• No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the interview.
• The University reserves the right to withdraw, increase, decrease, or cancel the engagement process at any stage without assigning any reason.

📝 Application Procedure

Candidates must submit their application on plain paper along with a detailed CV and self‑attested copies of all relevant certificates, including proof of educational qualifications and experience/practice at the court. The complete application must reach the designated office on or before 12th September 2026. Only those who fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be considered for the interview/interaction.
