ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Pursuance to Govt. Order No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024, applications are invited for the post of Sr. Resident/Tutor in the below mentioned discipline from the eligible candidates for a period of one (01) year in the first instance further extendable on year to year basis up to maximum of three (3) years subject to Satisfactory Work & Conduct certificate from the concerned HOD:-

The applicants are directed to visit the official website of this Institution http://jobs.iggdcj.edu.in for completion/submission of their application forms. The detailed instructions for filling up of online form and mode of payment is given in the link provided against payment of INR. 500/- (five hundred only). The link will be available from 25.09.2025 to 09.10.2025 upto 05:00 PM.

For in-service J&K Dental Surgeons need to take printout of filled application form and route it through proper channel to the office of the Principal, Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu by or before 09.10.2025 up to 5:00 PM. The applicants are advised to upload the following documents along with fee receipt duly self attested.

List of documents to be uploaded:-

* Date of Birth Proof (10th diploma)

* BDS Degree from DCI recognized College and University.

* All BDS Marks sheets.

* Internship completion certificate.

* Attempt certificate issued by the Head of Institution/University.

* MDS Degree in concerned speciality from DCI recognized College and University (Mandatory).

* Registration certificate issued by State Dental Council.

* Renewal of Registration certificate issued by State Dental Council.

* Affidavit duly attested from 1st Class Magistrate stating that

(a) the applicant has not done Registrarship/Demonstratorship/Tutorship earlier within or outside the UT (J&K) in the concerned discipline.

(b) the applicant has read all the terms and conditions and shall abide the same before he/she is allowed to join after engagement.

* Domicile certificate of UT of J&K.

* A copy of Aadhaar card.

* One passport size photograph should be pasted at the appropriate place on the application form.

* NOC from Administrative Department Health & Medical Education in case of in-service candidates.

Terms and Conditions:

* The selection for the tenured position of Sr. Resident/Registrar in Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu shall be made on the basis of performance in Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) based written Test only. The question paper will be a one hour duration containing 75 questions

(MCQ based) of 01 marks each. There will be a negative marking of 01 mark(s) for incorrect choice. Further zero (0) marks will be awarded for not attempting the question and opting more than one answer/s.

* No application will be accepted beyond cut-off date. The date of the written test shall be notified separately on Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu website. No individual communication shall be made in this regard.

* The in-service candidates of Health & Medical Education Department shall be allowed to participate in the selection process only with prior permission (NOC) from the Administrative Department. Candidates must route their application forms through proper channel via Administrative Department.

* The candidates who have already completed their tenure as Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator/Sr. Resident in any discipline in Dental/Medical College need not to apply and their application forms shall not be considered.

* The candidates who are doing Registrarship/Tutorship/Demonstratorship/Sr. Residency from any Dental college/Medical College need to submit NOC from the Head of their Institution, and must apply through proper channel.

* The candidates who will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Written Test shall submit their academic and technical qualification certificates in the office of the Principal, IGGDC, Jammu in original along with one set of self attested copies of each document.

The candidates other than in-service candidates are required to submit an Affidavit duly attested by 1st Class Magistrate that he/she is not working in any other Dental/Medical College within or outside the UT (J&K) and all the information mentioned in the application are true and correct.

* Candidates are advised not to provide any false information or suppress any material facts, when submitting a hard copy of the application after being shortlisted, they are warned not to alter or tamper with any entry in any document or its attested certified copy.

They should not submit any tempered or fabricated documents. If there is any inaccuracy or discrepancy between two or more such documents or their attested/certified copies, an explanation regarding the discrepancy should be provided.

* A candidate who is, or has been, declared by the Selection Committee to be guilty of obtaining wrongful support for their candidature by any means, impersonating or procuring impersonation, submitting fabricated or tampered documents, making incorrect or false statements,

suppressing material information, or resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with their candidature for selection using unfair means during the test, writing irrelevant or obscene content, misbehaving in the examination hall, harassing or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the Selection Committee for the conduct of the test, or attempting to commit or abetting any of the aforementioned acts, shall be liable to criminal prosecution.

Additionally, they may be debarred by the Selection Committee from appearing in the examination, either permanently or for a specified period.

* The appointment of the candidate shall be terminable on either side by serving a prior notice of one month or on payment of one month’s salary by the appointing authority.

* In case of a tie in merit secured by two or more candidates in the written test, the candidate who has scored > more marks in BDS shall be given preference. In case, the marks are also same, candidate older in age shall be preferred.

* Along with the Select List, a Waiting List shall be maintained, which shall be valid for a period of 3 months, for the relevant discipline. In case of failure of any candidate to join, the next candidate in merit shall be invited to join.

In case a Senior Resident/Registrar leaves the tenured position midway, the Principal, Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College Jammu shall appoint a candidate next in merit in the last valid select list.

No selected candidate who has joined the institution on a tenured position shall be given Experience Certificate if he/she fails to serve on the tenured position for at least six months.

* The maximum tenure of a Senior Resident/Registrar shall be 3 years and no extension shall be granted under any circumstances.

* The applicants should have completed BDS/MDS from the institute recognised by DCI. Moreover, candidates having appeared in the final examination of the Postgraduate course (MDS) in relevant discipline/subject are also eligible to apply for the said post in terms of Government Order No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024 dated 20-06-2024.

However, this shall be subject to the condition of production of necessary documents evidencing successfully obtaining the requisite qualification viz. MDS Degree Certificate/MDS Provisional Degree Certificate & valid MDS Dental Council Registration within a period of 21 days from the date of issuance of selection list.

* The Maximum age for non-service applicants at the time of submission of application should be 50 years.

* The appointee shall be entitled to the salary as per relevant rules in vogue.

Note: Non-PSC candidate shall also deposit the copy of the Application Form complete in all respects alongwith fee payment receipt and affidavit (in original) in the office of the Principal, Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College, Jammu by or before 09.10.2025.

All candidates are directed to bring their original documents on the date of the written test. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from appearing in the examination.
