Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I for DST
Inspire Faculty research project under PI: Dr. Saima Afzal in the Department of Chemistry, IUST.

The research study
involves design and synthesis of “Bright customized chiral artificial light harvesting systems by supramolecular
aggregation into hydrogel matrices”.

Qualification Essential
M.Sc Chemistry or allied fields
Minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA
Desirable
Experience in designing of Hydrogel matrices based on different
polymers. Rheometeric characterization of polymeric hydrogels using
different models and experience in handling of UV-Vis and Florescence
Spectrophotometer

Duration of Project 1 year (extendable)
Last date of receipt of application 27-05-2025

Monthly Stipend Rs 30,000/month + HRA

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular
appointments in the university.
2. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.

3. The salary component is subject to the release of funds by the funding agency.
4. Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time of interview.

5. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
6. Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience etc at the time of appearing in the
interview.

7. The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning any reason
thereof.
8. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).

9. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or funding agency
(wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.

10. The engagement of PA-I initially for a period of one (01) year which can be extended subject to the satisfactory work carried
out by PA-I and availability of the funds.
