Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), specifically the Division of Farm Machinery & Power Engineering at the College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Shalimar, has announced a specialized skill development training programme. This initiative is sponsored by Rashtitya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) under the Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
The training programme is titled Selection, Operation and Maintenance of Agricultural Machinery and is designed to provide comprehensive hands-on knowledge to participants.

The primary Objectives of the Training include:
- Hands-on training regarding the selection, safe operation, preventive maintenance, and basic fault diagnosis of agricultural machinery.
- Skill development aimed at efficient machinery utilization to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime in farm operations.
- Capacity building for self-employment and skilled wage opportunities in the farm mechanization and machinery service sectors.
The programme has a duration of 250 Hours (30 Days) and offers 25 seats only. Selection for the course will be conducted on a first-come/merit basis. Notably, there is no registration fee for this training.
Prospective candidates must complete their registration by the deadline of 10th March, 2026. To apply, individuals should use the digital application portal provided by the university.
